Welcome
Mathtest has been around for many years, and continues to be a math learning game preferred by parents, teachers, and most importantly--kids. While my intent is to modernize Mathtest for the 21st century, I continue to offer the Version 3.60 software here, and invite you to experience the no-fluff, to-the-point, down-to-Earth arcade action that makes Mathtest mean Math.

Mathtest 3.60 is free software and can be used at home or in the classroom. It will run on any 16-bit or 32-bit Windows or DOS OS that can display color graphics (and most emulators like DOSBox).(But, please note that users of 64-bit Windows, Linux, or Mac OSX must use an emulator).

Mathtest Information
Mathtest is a math game designed for elementary school-aged students and up. The object of Mathtest is to solve math problems quickly and accurately. As problems are solved, one of three short and simple arcade-style games are shown.

Mathtest can let students practice a wide variety of problems in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In addition to basic problems, Mathtest can show problems that use regrouping (carrying and borrowing), negative numbers, decimals, long multiplication and division, and individual multiplication tables.

Mathtest has many options. Drill modes let the user solve math problems without the arcade games appearing. The timer can be adjusted or turned off. For quiet environments, there's a sound on/off option.

Click here for information on the history of Mathtest, programming notes, and some old screen shots. There's also the Mathtest Additional Information page.

System Requirements
This program has been designed to run on any PC-based computer with at least 320K of free memory. It will run under MS-DOS 3 and greater, FreeDOS, Windows 3.1/95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/Vista/7/8 (only 32-bit versions), and most MS-DOS clones and emulators. If you are a Mac or Linux user, it runs great in DOSBox.
